Lab Testing & Certificates of Analysis (COA)

Every Modus SMAX product is third-party lab tested for identity, alkaloid potency and contaminants. If a batch doesn’t meet our standards, it never reaches the shelf. This page explains what we test, why it matters, and how to read a Certificate of Analysis.

What we test for

• Identity — confirms genuine Mitragyna speciosa material.
• Alkaloid potency — mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine levels, so servings stay consistent.
• Microbials — screens for salmonella, E. coli, yeast and mold.
• Heavy metals — lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury within safe limits.
• Residual solvents (extracts) — verifies clean manufacturing.

How to read a COA

• Match the batch/lot number on your product to the COA.
• Check potency — alkaloid percentages should match the label’s strength tier.
• Confirm PASS results for microbials and heavy metals.
• Verify the lab — an accredited independent laboratory, not in-house testing.
